Senior DevOps Engineer (Data Platforms)

Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end operational delivery for cloud-native data platform environments (AWS, Azure) across multiple managed services clients. You will drive infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability, deploy and maintain IaC configurations, monitor and support production data jobs, and ensure engagements are delivered on time with measurable business value. You’ll collaborate with Solutions Architects, data engineering teams, analytics teams, and client stakeholders, provide technical leadership during deployments, and contribute to internal initiatives like IaC templates and automation frameworks. The role emphasizes client-facing delivery in a consulting environment, with a focus on cloud platform engineering fundamentals across AWS and Azure, and the potential to grow into senior platform roles. About LATAM remote operations and global distributed teams; a strong foundation in cloud services, coding, data workflows, and governance is essential.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud platform engineering, or infrastructure with client-facing or consulting delivery experience
- Strong cloud platform experience across AWS and Azure, including core infrastructure services (e.g., S3, ADLS, IAM, networking, compute, secrets management)
- Proven hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) — including authoring, extending, and maintaining IaC in team environments
- Solid experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and tooling (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and operational tooling in cloud-native environments
- Working knowledge of SQL for queries and data flow validation
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting concepts
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root-cause analysis across cloud infrastructure
- Active daily use of AI coding tools with demonstrated judgment about when to trust AI output
- Experience delivering projects in professional services, consulting, or managed services environments
- Ability to break down complex platform challenges into structured, actionable steps and drive them to completion
- Excellent written and verbal English communication for non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work with distributed and cross-functional teams and own engagements
- Willingness to learn new technology stacks including data platform technologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience
