Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS while deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters with Docker and Helm. Develop automated tools for building, deployment, monitoring, testing, and maintenance of infrastructure and applications. Establish policies for security, compliance, and disaster recovery, optimizing systems for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency. Continuously monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior engineers within an Agile environment. Requires high-level security clearance, British passport, and five years of permanent UK residence.
Required Qualifications
- previous experience in a devops focussed role
- able to play an active role in the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products
- excited about working with large-scale applications and frameworks
- outstanding communication skills
- leadership skills
- experience in some of the following: Gitlab, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Packer, Vault, Serverless, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Artifactory & Nexus
- British passport holder
- have lived permanently in the UK for the last 5 years

- Optimise infrastructure for high availability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency
- Continuously monitor and improve infrastructure and application performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues
- Manage and mentor junior DevOps engineers
- Developing and deploying secure products using appropriate technology and patterns
- Familiarity with key cloud concepts and technologies
- Designing and operating highly available shared solutions
- Working in agile environments using methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Working with high-level stakeholders -both internally and externally
