Job Summary
Senior DevOps Engineer at Bamboo responsible for architecting, building, and hardening highly resilient cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable, secure money-movement platforms. You will lead ownership of Cloud environments, implement IaC, drive 99.9% uptime, mentor junior/mid-level engineers through pair sessions and RFCs, and align delivery with security and data-sovereignty standards. The role emphasizes proactive monitoring, capacity planning, cost optimization, and AI-assisted automation within secure workflows, with a focus on secure, observable, and scalable infrastructure and ongoing collaboration across product managers and engineers in fintech scaling scenarios. Location-based hybrid work in Lagos, Nigeria.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure roles in fintech or scaling consumer products
- Mastery of modern infrastructure stack (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Deep understanding of CI/CD frameworks (e.g., GitLab CI)
- Experience with self-hosted observability tools and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with git and GitHub/GitLab for secure configurations
- Strong project-management/software-tool proficiency (Jira, Notion, Gsuite)
- Self-directed problem solver with accountability for outcomes
- Strong ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness to continuously learn
