Job Summary
This position seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Amazon technologies including VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, and Redshift. The role involves configuration of Amazon EMR clusters, executing DevOps practices, and using orchestration and configuration management tools such as Chef and Jenkins. Candidates should have proficiency in networking protocols (HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP), AWS environment, scripting and automation, and programming languages including Python and Bash. Job scheduling experience with Oozie or Airflow is valued, along with familiarity with version control platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Good understanding of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
- Experience in Amazon technologies such as VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda and Redshift
- Experience in Amazon EMR cluster configuration
- Experience/familiarity with Python, Shell, REST APIs, and JSON encoding
- Experience in DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and CI/CD (Chef, Puppet, Jenkins)
- Working experience and good level of understanding of AWS environment
- Experience with configuring HDFS infrastructure
- Dev Ops scripting and automation expertise
- Experience with Chef
- Cloud Formation expertise
- Programming Language Skills – Python and Bash
