Job Summary
Senior Development Project Manager responsible for leading and managing the design, preconstruction and construction activities on a given project(s). The role interfaces daily with Facilities, Contractors, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff, requiring strong written and oral communication. Responsibilities include managing multiple campus projects with updated budgets, schedules, and status reports; creating an executive-ready program and site development plan; handling entitlement and permitting; developing scopes of work, evaluating pricing, coordinating with procurement, overseeing submittals, tracking cost-to-date against budgets, establishing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, and representing QTS in senior-level meetings. Requires collaboration with Sales Engineers and Product teams to support custom deal solutions and driving data center development within a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience
- Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates, and Excel to create and maintain site program & budgets
- Be able to travel up to 25% of the time
- US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts
