Job Summary
Monitor political and economic landscapes in Africa and understand Singapore companies' operations there to identify opportunities, challenges, and regulatory roadblocks. Develop and implement strategies for strategic partnerships and market access to help Singapore firms expand internationally, while cultivating international traders based in Singapore. Collaborate with government-to-government agencies to foster bilateral trade and economic relations between Africa and Singapore. This portfolio drives overseas market expansion and government-to-government engagements, supporting the Singapore Public Service's role in economic growth and stability. French language proficiency is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in government policy formulation, international relations and/or business or market development (3-5 years required)
- Experience in handling challenging situations and/or projects independently
- Ability to apply strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to apply teamwork and collaboration skills in a professional environment
- Ability to apply resourceful and entrepreneurial thinking with relentless tenacity

- Tertiary qualification
