Job Summary
Senior Development Engineer Java EE responsible for designing and developing IT solutions with a focus on microservice and private cloud architectures. Own the full software development lifecycle from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and documentation. Apply test-driven development and drive automation across functional, integration, and regression tests while ensuring governance and security requirements. Contribute to build/deployment processes, collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and external service providers, and enhance software quality through best practices and QA measures. Analyze incidents and problems to deliver sustainable solutions. Experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, REST/HTTP, Kafka, CI/CD, Azure, test automation, and agile/Scrum environments is required; strong communication skills and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset are essential. The role is based in Frankfurt with remote working options in line with company policy.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in a STEM field or comparable qualification
- Strong knowledge of Java and Spring (Boot) and Hibernate
- Experience with REST/HTTP and Kafka
- CI/CD and Azure experience
- Hands-on test automation
- Experience in agile environments (Scrum)
- Structured, goal-oriented, solution-driven working style
- Strong communication skills and team mindset
- Good English skills (written and spoken)
