Job Summary
Lead the design, development, implementation, and validation of drivetrain control software and algorithms for lower powertrain brake systems; establish and lead the Drivetrain Brake Mechatronics team; collaborate across mechanical, electrical, software, and validation teams to ensure seamless system integration; apply systems engineering to balance performance, durability, robustness, cost, and maintenance; drive process improvements and best practices in controls development and validation; possess strong analytical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills; manage projects and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver robust brake control solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer, Systems, Agricultural Engineering)
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- Lower powertrain component design or development experience
- Machine brake controls systems experience
- Machine performance experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and collaborate with process partners
- Experience with system development and integration project delivery on-time and within budget
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Decision making and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication skills
- Project management skills
- Computer-aided controls systems development knowledge
- Product testing knowledge
- Troubleshooting abilities
- High personal and professional ethics; self-starter
