Job Summary

Lead the end-to-end monthly draw process for assigned ground-up development and repositioning projects, ensuring timely review, approvals, funding coordination, and disbursements to contractors and partners. Manage change orders and budget reallocations by routing documentation with Legal, Construction Leads, and external partners, while coordinating with Accounts Payable for accurate coding and reconciliation in Yardi. Maintain strict cost control through budget monitoring, contingency tracking, and variance escalation to the Controller, serving as the senior point of contact for partner compliance and draw template questions. Mentor one to two junior coordinators on work allocation and process standards, while partnering with Development, Investments, and Asset Management teams on financial workflows. Identify opportunities to refine standard operating procedures and support system enhancements for improved data quality and reporting timeliness. 5–15% out-of-area travel required for site visits and meetings. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred with 7+ years of construction draw experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience coordinating construction/development draws within the construction or real estate development industry
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting practices
  • Hands-on experience leading the draw process and managing partner compliance in a multi-entity environment
  • Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior team members
  • Solution-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • 5–15% out-of-area and overnight travel

Desired Qualifications

  • CPA or CMA progress
  • Experience with ERP systems
