Job Summary
Build and manage a portfolio of 35-40 leadership annual and major gift prospects, identifying, cultivating, and soliciting donors for annual gifts of $5,000-$10,000 and some major gifts of $25,000+. Make personal appointments to solicit gifts and close donations for the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resilience. Meet annual goals for visits, solicitations, and funds raised while adhering to the Prospect Management Process, including filing monthly clearance requests and contact reports. Organize meetings, coordinate logistics, and draft communications, briefing materials, and correspondence. Work weekends or evenings, exceed 40 hours weekly, and travel interisland or nationally as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Must possess a valid driver's license or have a reliable and acceptable alternative means of transportation to perform the duties of the position
- A background check, including a driving record review where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of progressive experience in non-profit organizations, especially in alumni, development, education, or membership settings
- Experience and demonstrated success in developing major gift strategies, soliciting and closing gifts and developing recommendations for stimulating interest in the organization's program
