Job Summary
Senior Developer Success Engineer - West serves as the frontline technical expert for Temporal's developer community, helping users deploy and scale Temporal in cloud-native environments, troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, optimizing performance, and developing automation solutions. The role involves working with cloud-native stacks (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes), mastering observability tooling (Grafana, Prometheus), and contributing to reliability and scalability efforts. You will collaborate directly with developers, engineering teams, and product teams to understand infrastructure challenges and provide solutions that enhance scalability, performance, and developer experience, including building self-service infrastructure and diagnostic tools.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a developer
- Proficiency in Python, Java, Golang, or TypeScript
- Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes or Docker-based architectures
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- At least one year in a customer-facing role (internal or external)
- Experience working with remote teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate use cases into Temporal design decisions and architecture best practices
- Technologies: EKS, GKE, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTracing, Terraform/Ansible/CDK
