Job Summary
Senior Developer focused on building and maintaining core services used across everii products, primarily in Ruby on Rails. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining cross-product core services (e.g., OCR invoice processing via AI, eInvoice services), extracting functionality from products to standalone reusable services, leveraging AI tools in development, enforcing automated testing and code reviews, building REST and GraphQL APIs with authentication and Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, ensuring stability and monitoring via CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Docker) and monitoring tools (Grafana, Victoria Logs & Metrics), and collaborating closely with the development team on architectural concepts and solutions. Required skills include Rails proficiency (including Sidekiq), database knowledge (PostgreSQL/MS SQL), API design/security, familiarity with CI/CD and containerized deployments, and strong German/English communication. The role offers an in-person presence in Hamburg or Frankfurt with hybrid work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Solid Backend experience in Ruby on Rails (incl. Sidekiq)
- Experience with REST and GraphQL APIs, API authentication (OAuth, JWT) and documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Experience with GitHub Actions and Docker, containerized deployments
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MS SQL or other relational databases
- Experience with AI-tools and agents
- Testing automation and CI/CD practices
- Experience with Linux servers and containerized setups
- SaaS product experience (preferred)
- Strong communication skills in German and English
