Job Summary
Lead system design and implementation of scalable PHP microservices, RESTful APIs, and data flows for a member-driven application. Architect cloud-based services on AWS, configure load balancing, and optimize server costs while ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Perform performance analysis to identify bottlenecks, tune database queries, and implement caching solutions. Design database structures, optimize complex queries, and secure APIs with encryption strategies. Mentor junior developers, refine requirements with cross-functional teams, and drive the evolution of the platform through continuous refactoring and technical debt management.
Required Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the PHP language
- Experience with frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or similar
- Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture
- Usable understanding of front-end technologies
- Understanding of the concepts of object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with optimizing interactions with backend storage, such as MySQL
- Experience developing in a largely distributed environment
