Job Summary
Design, develop, enhance, and sustain enterprise web applications for the U.S. Navy's Total Force Manpower Management System using Java, JSF, PL/SQL, and Docker. Implement updates and defect corrections while performing integration, validation, and regression testing to ensure stability across dependent systems. Apply secure coding practices, remediate vulnerabilities, and support operational troubleshooting to maintain system availability. Maintain version control of source code using Government-approved tools and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders within Agile development activities. Support deployment activities and post-deployment verification while adhering to Department of Defense security and access control requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- A background investigation at the T3 level is required
- Must be able to support Central Time hours (8:00AM – 4:00 PM)
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers
- Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be self-motivated
- Must pay close attention to detail
- Must have good oral and written communication skills
- Must have demonstrated experience developing and sustaining enterprise-scale software applications
- Must have hands-on experience with database-driven web applications
- Must have experience supporting applications operating in secure Government environments
- Must have experience using database migration tools (Flyway, Liquibase, etc.)
- Must have certifications in line with DoDD 8140 (e.g., Network+ CE, Security+ CE, CASP CE) to include Required developer, system, or privileged-access certifications necessary to perform assigned duties
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any technical or managerial discipline
- A minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines (including GitLab Runners) and Java version upgrades
