Job Summary
Design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions while building and maintaining APIs for seamless system communication. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Implement best practices for code quality, performance, and security, and troubleshoot issues to ensure smooth application operation. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5-10 years of experience, and proficiency in Python, PHP, or Java alongside Google Cloud Platform expertise. Strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5-10 years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, PHP, Java
- Strong understanding of API design principles and RESTful architecture
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate in English and Afrikaans
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
