Job Summary

In the Senior Developer Advocate - Data Observability position, you will act as a subject matter expert for data observability, creating content across various mediums like demos, public speaking, blogging, and documentation. You'll partner with internal teams to enhance public communication and contribute to product feedback. The role requires deep hands-on experience in modern data engineering and analytics systems, including building data pipelines with distributed processing systems, understanding analytics platforms, and familiarity with programming languages used in data systems. You should possess excellent advocacy skills and a proven track record of reaching technical audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a software developer, data engineer, SRE, or other practitioner building and maintaining production systems
  • 3+ years of experience in advocacy or developer relations or equivalent experience reaching technical audiences through written content or presentations
  • Publicly available writing samples, demos, repositories, or recordings of technical presentations
  • Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure and container-based systems

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting data pipelines for ML or AI systems
  • Contributions to open source or shared technical tooling
