Job Summary
Senior Deskside Consultant responsible for end-user IT support across desktop, mobile, printers, and AV hardware. Provide on-site and remote assistance, troubleshooting across Windows/Linux/Mac environments, and support for Microsoft Office 365, VPN, Citrix, and Active Directory. Travel between Vancouver-area sites, starting in a hybrid model and transitioning to fully onsite. Role includes deployment of devices, alignment with regional/global IT projects, incident tracking and escalation, customer communications, and mentoring of less experienced colleagues. Requires 5+ years of IT support experience, strong communication, and a post-secondary education in a related field; certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft) are noted as desirable. This is a 6-month contract with potential extension or conversion to permanent employment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT support experience, including experience supporting a Microsoft environment in a Desktop Support Role
- Knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, web interfaces, remote access tools
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments
- Experience with: Microsoft Office O365, Remote support, PC / printer hardware / VPN / Citrix, Active Directory
- Ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately and work to resolve them
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
