Senior Designer Womenswear

Job Summary
Design market-relevant womenswear knitwear and jersey products following established design direction. Create design tech-packs, technical sketches, and full-scale front views to send to suppliers, including graphics and artworks. Attend regular meetings with design, merchandising, retail, and developers to present ideas, develop ranges, and maintain strong business relationships. Research materials, trends, and markets to translate catwalk and street styles into commercial, innovative designs. Ensure thorough technical packs and travel to manufacturers and fairs. Work under fast-paced pressure in a dynamic, creative environment while maintaining a structured overview of ongoing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master degree in Fashion design
- 5+ years' experience in designing commercial knitwear and jersey
- Understands trends and translate to KL women's point of view
- Computer skills Illustrator, Photoshop and PLS (or other Design software)
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Distinctive product taste level: ability to judge and balance superior design/taste level and commercial viability
- Strong market research and fashion trend analysis
- Ability to travel to the manufacturers and fairs
- Ability to perform under fast paste pressure in a highly dynamic, creative and commercial environment
- Work at a quick pace, structured and well organized, and able to keep overview of ongoing processes
- Active member of the team, be pro-active and supportive resulting in a more effective and efficient team
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence across functions
- Be able to translate actions into results that further contribute to strengthen the brand
