Job Summary
Handle end-to-end product technical support, ensuring all necessary technical quality standards are met through to bulk production with the right cost and on-time delivery. Conduct sampling approval processes, manage sample logs, and verify CAD patterns using Gerber 2D based on fit feedback. Collaborate with merchandisers, buyers, and suppliers to follow up on WIP and resolve critical technical issues, including children's safety call-outs and vendor clarifications. Upload sample reports to the PLM system and manage vendor enhancements for e-pattern corrections.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in Kids' & Youth apparel, with a deep focus on export products for the US market
- Men's & women's underwear — strong command of knit fabric properties and technical characteristics
- Teen girls' swimwear (adolescent/teenage)
- Toddler to teenage boys' & girls' sportswear (full category, knit & woven), including sportswear sets, beachwear, skate pants, and outdoor & ski apparel technology
- Gerber 2D (mandatory): strong ability to create and modify patterns based directly on sample fitting feedback and fit issues
- Solid practical knowledge of US/EU children's safety standards, especially US CPSIA for kids' apparel
- Up to date with the latest garment design-construction trends and best practices
- Knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim and print techniques, and sensibility for costing/design
- Ability to resolve a variety of fitting issues and modify patterns by CAD (Gerber preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and drawings
- Bachelor's Degree in Garment Engineering or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Good to excellent spoken and written English for daily communication with Global/Shanghai teams and clear technical alignment
- Strong self-driving mindset: proactive, takes ownership, works independently, and drives projects with priority to meet goals
- Logical & organized: clear technical sample circle management logic for export products, with strong documentation and follow-through habits
- High sense of responsibility and ownership
- Strong logical thinking and clear communication on a daily basis
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple styles under tight timelines
- Calm and solution-oriented when facing fit/quality/development issues
- Frequency of travel or vendor VC: as required
Desired Qualifications
- Flex PLM system experience is a plus
- Mandarin is a plus
- Ability to modify patterns by CAD (Gerber preferred)
