Job Summary

Lead conceptual design development from programming through schematic design phases, developing and refining design concepts that align with client goals. Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients throughout the design process while mentoring junior designers and providing guidance. Participate in client presentations and design reviews, ensuring design quality and consistency across all deliverables. Collaborate with Job Captains and Project Managers during design development and construction document phases, researching precedents and building systems. Support business development efforts through design excellence and client relationship building. Requires California educational facility design experience, proficiency in SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite, and a minimum of 6+ years of professional experience.

  • Proven leadership experience with ability to mentor junior staff
  • Proficiency in design software including SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and visualization tools
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles and building systems
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in architectural design with demonstrated progression in responsibilities

Desired Qualifications
