Job Summary
Senior Footwear Designer for Kid’s footwear at Nike Beaverton. Lead design concepts for kids’ footwear across six fields of play (running, basketball, classics, modern lifestyle, sandals) from concept to final design, collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers, product management, marketing, and merchandising. Translate consumer insights into product solutions and narratives; develop accurate 2D tech packs; explore future-forward trends and seasonal direction; present work in reviews and contribute to design integrity, quality and performance. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, comfortable with 3D tools (Gravity Sketch, Rhino, Blender or similar), and possess strong sketching, rendering, and prototyping skills. Portfolio submission required. Nike emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and the ability to connect ideas across design groups; accommodation options are available during the interview process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or related field
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience in designing and developing footwear
- Previous footwear design experience
- Ability to translate consumer knowledge into product solutions
- Proficient in Adobe CC
- 3D design skillset: Gravity Sketch, Rhino, Blender or similar
- Strong sketching, illustration, rendering skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Portfolio attached or linked
