Job Summary

Lead mid-sized piping design projects and manage multiple concurrent efforts, operating with independent judgment on complex facility models using CADWorx Plant® and AutoCAD. Back-check other designers' work, review drawings for quality, and mentor junior staff while contributing to the evolution of team standards and tools. Coordinate with engineering disciplines to ensure continuous information flow, manage project deadlines, and mitigate delays. Apply ASME codes and engineering specifications throughout the design process. This role serves as a critical leadership development step for progression into a Lead Designer position within an energy-focused organization.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–9 years of progressive relevant design experience or equivalent
  • 5 years minimum required
  • CADWorx Plant® proficiency required
  • AutoCAD Plant 3D® at equivalent level
  • independently builds and manages advanced 3D facility models with little to no guidance
  • Superior knowledge of available Navisworks® tools
  • ability to operate Freedom, Manage, and Simulate
  • ability to perform a presentation with a client using all modes
  • Superior proficiency in AutoCAD®
  • understands, can edit and use LISP routines
  • is learning to create new tools to be more efficient
  • can troubleshoot computer issues
