Senior Designer - Fire Engineer

Job Summary
Design fire fighting and alarm systems for buildings and industrial plants, including sprinklers, standpipes, foam, and gas suppression. Prepare design documents adhering to Korea fire codes and NFPA standards. Coordinate interfaces with architecture, MEP, and structural teams to resolve design clashes using Revit and Navisworks. Develop 3D building models and perform BIM-based quantity take-offs. This role supports the delivery of innovative fire protection engineering solutions across multiple sectors in Seoul. Candidates will collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure compliant, high-quality engineering outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (4-year university qualification) or higher
- 2+ years of experience
- Proficiency in English or other foreign languages
- Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification (Mechanical Field)
- Firefighting Equipment Technician Certification (Electrical Field)
- Development of 3D building models and fire protection facility libraries using Revit and Navisworks
- Preparation of design documents in accordance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., Korea fire codes, NFPA standards, etc.)
- Coordination and interface with other disciplines (architecture, electrical, civil, HVAC, etc.)
- Design of fire fighting systems including sprinklers, standpipes/hose cabinets, foam systems, gaseous suppression systems, and water spray/deluge systems
- Design of fire alarm and detection systems, notification systems, emergency voice/alarm communication systems, and egress/exit signage and lighting
- Review and coordination of interfaces with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural) to proactively eliminate design clashes and errors
- BIM-based quantity take-offs and enhancement of construction drawing quality
- Fire fighting system design works for buildings and industrial plants
