Job Summary
The Senior Designer- Electrical role involves developing electrical designs, creating schematics, single line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for industrial machinery. Responsibilities include preparing layouts, maintaining drawing quality and CAD standards, performing design calculations, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Candidates are expected to collaborate with engineering teams globally and engage in project-related activities such as design reviews and troubleshooting. The position requires significant experience in electrical design, particularly in industries like medical equipment, packaging, and converting. A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 5-8 years of relevant experience are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of Five to Eight years of electrical design experience in Industrial Machineries/Equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in calculation and selection of Motors, Drives, AC Load calculations
- Experience in handling low and medium voltage motor control systems
- Experience in industrial control and protection schemes
- Hands-on experience in preparation of single and three-line diagrams, panel IGA & OGA drawings
- Knowledge in the principles of operation and standard electrical maintenance practices
- Knowledge of major OEM motors & emergency standby generators
- Knowledge of materials, components and equipment used in all aspects of electrical installations
- Experience in designing and testing Safety Interlocks
- Experience in creating symbols, assigning metadata to fields, creating macros, 3D macros and Drilling Patterns
- Knowledge in GUI programming support for SmartTouch
