Job Summary
Lead project-based design solutions by hand sketching, digitally rendering, and illustrating concepts across conceptual, schematic, and construction documentation phases. Deliver quality work within designated timelines while incorporating feedback from project leaders and ensuring deadlines are met. Support the team by leading client presentations, interfacing with external counterparts, and maintaining quality control for design documents. Mentor Creative Studio members, share knowledge as a subject matter expert, and participate in process improvements. Demonstrate autonomy in independent thinking and solutions while managing multi-tasking and time effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.F.A) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, or related field
- 5+ years' proven design experience in a professional business required
- Proficiency developing message schedules, sign location plans and designing sign systems
- Knowledge of print production methods
- Demonstrate a strong proficiency with using design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketchup)

- digital or hand sketching abilities to convey design concepts
- Ability to learn new skills and software quickly and teach those skills to Creative Studio team members
- Ability to give direction and constructive critique and escalate to Creative Studio leadership team when needed

- Experience leading small teams, including managing and mentoring project teams
- Experience writing proposals and creative briefs with guidance from assigned Creative Director
- Exercises sound judgement, business sensibility, and discretion and seeks assistance from Creative Director as needed
- The employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Employee must be able to talk and hear
