Senior Designer - BIM Electrical Plant 3D

Job Summary
Conduct complex BIM or Plant Data Centric assignments using Revit, Intergraph SmartPlant, and Plant 3D to achieve project deadlines. Independently lead and deliver Plant 3D modeling activities, including equipment modeling, custom equipment creation, and QA/QC review processes. Perform Substation layout development and 2D & 3D equipment modeling while coordinating with Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Piping disciplines. Provide training and technical support to design staff on the Building Information Modeling system and perform model review and clash detection using AutoCAD 3D and Navisworks Manage. Requires strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience in Autodesk Plant 3D.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in Autodesk Plant 3D with the ability to independently lead and deliver Plant 3D modeling activities and project deliverables
- Experience in equipment modeling, custom equipment creation, and QA/QC review processes within Plant 3D
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 3D and Navisworks Manage for model review and clash detection
- Experience in Substation layout development and 2D & 3D equipment modeling
- Strong Electrical Engineering fundamentals with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and deliverables
- Experience in coordinating with Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Piping disciplines
- Strong communication skills with a high level of project ownership, accountability, and stakeholder management
- Diploma / BE Electrical & Electronics with >8 years experience post qualification
- Experience in Civil 3D software tool
- Work experience in ME Urban Infrastructure Design works (prefer Dry Utilities design experience in consulting firms)
- Must be able to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / Autodesk Forma, and exposure to US and mining projects will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of Revit is added advantage
- Strong communication skills in English is desirable
