Job Summary
Design Reviewer (Electrical) will perform comprehensive review of design/constructability documents from consultants and in-house design for DDC’s capital construction program. Responsibilities include project scoping, design/constructability reviews using Blue-Beam, site inspections and reports, condition surveys, in-house design with AutoCAD and BIM, lighting calculations, and providing technical support to client-agency projects. The role requires interfacing with clients, consultants, contractors, and technical staff. Must be authorized to work full-time in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship offered. Educational credentials must be from a U.S. DOE-recognized institution. Location: NYC area; in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- One year of supervisory experience or one year as a project manager for large/complex construction projects (per Assignment Level I)
- Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, architectural technology, construction, construction management, construction technology, sustainable design, urban planning, urban studies, city planning, transportation planning, business administration, or public administration
- Four-year high school diploma plus five years of relevant experience or equivalent combinations as specified in the NYC assignment requirements
- New York State professional engineer or registered architect/license (optional for some paths)
- U.S. work authorization without visa sponsorship
