Job Summary
Senior Design Reliability Engineer responsible for leading technical reviews and shaping design reliability for artificial-gravity space habitats and Haven Station programs. Oversees qualification and test campaigns for flight systems, ensures rigorous design and testing processes, and reinforces engineering standards, design guides, and review frameworks. Applies broad experience in design, build cycles, integration, and test to elevate engineering teams, capture lessons learned, and guide risk-driven decisions across the organization. Collaborates across configuration, change management, and software teams to ensure well-organized system data and design decisions, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and performance under ambitious program timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in responsible engineering, design ownership, systems integration, test engineering, or reliability-focused development
- Experience conducting design reviews, qualification reviews, or major change assessments
- Strong communicator and collaborative leader with high emotional intelligence, diplomacy, and the ability to influence at all levels
- Resilient, curious, and committed to continuous learning in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
