Job Summary
Lead design innovation and standardization within the EMEA Development Group by spearheading the development, review, and maintenance of design packages and specifications. Manage engineering teams, oversee procurement processes, and provide strategic oversight to regional project leads for local partner selection and Value Engineering. Take full ownership of design briefs, including baselines and site-specific inputs, while fostering seamless collaboration across functions to drive uniformity in product delivery. Proactively anticipate and mitigate design risks through regular on-site inspections and lessons learned meetings, ensuring strict compliance with project requirements and codes. Cultivate robust client relationships through leadership in technical meetings and provide comprehensive updates on design progress, risks, and priorities to the Regional Development Director and Leadership Team.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data center design management or equivalent leadership roles
- Proficiency in data center design
- Familiarity with Europe construction markets
- Strong knowledge of critical cooling and power infrastructure within data center projects
- Familiarity with building codes and fire ordinances
- Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, building services engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution preferred
- Alternative, relevant education or experience such as military service or exceptional experience/training
