Senior Design Manager

Senior Design Manager to lead end-to-end design for projects in London with predominantly site-based duties and occasional travel to the Uxbridge office during tender periods. Responsible for managing the design process to meet customer requirements and framework deliverables, identifying contractual, financial, technical and operational risks, and driving value engineering to maximise gross profit while ensuring customer satisfaction. Lead appointment and performance of design consultants, ensuring contractual requirements are captured with clear deliverables using tools such as the Design Responsibility Matrix, Deliverables and Scope of Services. Review and appraise fee proposals, monitor consultant performance, and promote a collaborative approach to deliver robust, co-ordinated designs on time and within budget. Manage CDP packages for compliance, assess consultants under CDM 2015, and align design outputs with relevant RIBA stages using our CDE. Expected to deliver design and build outcomes across commercial, residential, mixed-use, hotel, and city centre developments, with strong emphasis on health, safety, buildability and value, and continuous improvement aligned with company values.
