Job Summary
Senior Design Manager leading design activities for School Upgrade Program and facility modernization projects in the Education sector. Responsibilities include directing design processes from concept through handoff, coordinating with Architects, consultants, and District personnel; ensuring compliance with educational and building standards; selecting architectural firms; guiding design reviews; maintaining budgets and schedules; and shaping community-friendly project outcomes. Requires聽Bachelor's in architecture or engineering, extensive facilities-design leadership experience, and a California architectural registration or PE license. Flexible hybrid/remote work plans are offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in architecture or engineering
- 18 years of full-time paid professional experience managing facilities design or planning and coordination of capital projects including design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling
- 8 years of this experience must be with design, planning and construction of educational facilities or similar public agencies
- Valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer license by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
