Job Summary
Lead product engineering for connector solutions by translating customer requirements into product drawings, specifications, and design analyses. Execute design verification, tolerance analysis, and DFMEA while ensuring manufacturability and compliance with international industry standards. Reconcile technical DFM with the Process Design team and drive cost reduction through improved designs. Manage the full product life cycle, anticipate customer dissatisfaction, and resolve technical issues within the integrated engineering group. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, five years of product design experience, proficiency in Pro-Engineer CREO/ANSYS, and familiarity with CAD/CAE tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or other relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years of product design development experience with excellent grasp of Engineering and Design principles
- Senior/Staff position requires excellent design leadership skills and relevant product life-cycle knowledge
- Proficient with Mechanical Design, Solid Mechanics theory and its application to product design
- Familiar with CAD/CAE tool: Pro-Engineer CREO/ANSYS
- 3D CAD modeling is a must
- Familiar with engineering drawing standards
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in interconnects design industry
- Working knowledge of connector application, plastic technology, insert-molding, stamping processes
