Job Summary
Lead system-level debugging, interface definition, and integration testing for embedded software, hardware, and systems into a complete medical device console. Diagnose issues spanning software, electrical, and mechanical domains using root cause frameworks and command-line tools. Manage interfaces between subsystems, execute unit, integration, and system-scaled testing with automation, and provide support for production line programming and data collection. Collaborate weekly with Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams to translate technical definitions and drive data-driven solutions without formal authority. Maintain broad console knowledge across multiple programs and leverage electrical instrumentation for characterization and test.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline
- 2+ years of direct applicable experience
- Proficiency in C/C++, embedded linux, and embedded real time systems
- Strong object-oriented design and development experience
- Must be available for 3 days a week in office in Portage, MI
