Job Summary
Coordinate all product development activities for new and current products, including designing innovative concepts using CAD and performing redesigns to improve manufacturability and reduce costs. Initiate and validate ECNs, analyze QA warranty data for improvements, and oversee testing and auditing of new products. Provide support to manufacturing engineering during the hand-off of new products and ensure accuracy of BOMs within ERP software and controlled drawings. Occasional travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of product design experience
- Minimum 3 years of Solidworks experience
- Skilled in 3D CAD
- Skilled in design of dynamic components/systems
- Ability to use product data management (PDM) software
- Skilled in spreadsheets and Microsoft Office
- Skilled in ERP Software and File Management
- Skilled in advanced mathematics
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret spreadsheets
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Occasional travel
