Job Summary
The Senior Design Engineer plays a crucial role in developing new medical device systems from concept to market introduction in compliance with FDA and ISO requirements. Responsibilities include executing instrument and implant design, generating CAD models and engineering drawings using ProEngineer/Creo, documenting designs per Design Control and Risk Management procedures, analyzing test data to verify functional specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve product issues. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2-5 years of medical device experience are required, alongside proficiency in CAD software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar field of study
- 2-5 years’ experience in medical device field
- CAD experience required (Pro-Engineer/Creo, SolidWorks, nTopology or equiv.)
- Strong computer skills including proficient usage of CAD software (Pro-Engineer/Creo preferred), word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel)
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering (Biomedical or Mechanical preferred)
- Additive Manufacturing / Metal 3D Printing experience
- nTopology experience
- Medical device experience
