Job Summary

Senior Design Engineer responsible for end-to-end electro-mechanical design, verification, and documentation. Leads design of heat-transfer and radiator-based products, conducts CFD/FEA validation, and works with design/purchasing and shop teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget. Utilizes SolidWorks for design, supports engineering changes, develops internal design standards, and mentors junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional groups on regulatory compliance and product development from concept to production.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Associate’s degree in mechanical design or related field
  • Three to five years, or more, of engineering and design-related experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical engineering
  • Experience with SolidWorks or equivalent 3D design software
  • Familiarity with FEA and CFD packages
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems (CSI)
  • Knowledge of UL, NEC, NFPA, ASME and ISO standards (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral/written)
  • Knowledge of product and system design, construction, and operation
  • Experience in data center and heat transfer industry (highly preferred)
  • Ability to prepare technical engineering documents (SolidWorks) including prints and drawings
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safe work practices
