Senior Design Engineer, Engine Components

Senior Design Engineer for the PRL core component engineering team within Caterpillar’s IPSD. Develop and evaluate designs for NPI, NSI, CPI, and cost reduction to meet program requirements and timelines. Coordinate PRL hardware for lab testing following ISO procedures to maintain traceability. Conduct in-test and post-test PRL analysis including oil consumption, blowby, and wear life projections. Maintain ownership of a subset of the PRL design control, executing print releasing, deviations, and Process Change Notifications on time. Collaborate with the global supply base to ensure issues are resolved quickly and quality expectations are met. Develop basic skills in relevant simulation tools to enable simulation-led design for concept analysis and selection.
