Job Summary
The Senior Design Architect will collaborate with the Durham Design Leadership team to develop innovative design solutions for various project types, such as Community, Workplace, and Healthcare. The role requires creating overall design concepts and developing presentation strategies, alongside managing projects from concept through to construction documents. Applicants should have over 7 years of experience in project design leadership, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design, and strong skills in leadership, client relations, and communication of complex design concepts.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design
- Understanding of multiple project typologies
- Ability to follow a project from concept design through development
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Proven track record of success in maintaining client relationships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Solid understanding of materials and construction processes
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Revit
- Ability to use AutoCAD
- Microsoft Suite expertise
- Experience with Sketch up
- Knowledge of Photoshop
- Familiarity with InDesign
- Illustrator skills
- PowerPoint proficiency
