Job Summary
The Senior Dentist at Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is tasked with a broad array of responsibilities in partnership with customer-owners to treat dental diseases and promote oral health. This role involves direct clinical care as well as mentoring and coaching staff on the Nuka System of Care. Qualifications include a dental degree from a CODA-accredited institution, state licensure in Alaska, and at least two years of experience as a dentist or specialty dentist, along with necessary certifications and residency completion.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
- Licensed in the State of Alaska as General Dentist or Dental Specialty – Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics or Dental Specialty – Pediatric Dentistry.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Dentist, Pediatric Dentist, or Orthodontist OR demonstrated proficiency as a Dentist, Pediatric Dentist, or Orthodontist at SCF.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of an approved residency training program required for specialty dentistry positions.
- Board certified or Board eligible.
Additional Requirements
- Compliance with Employee Health Procedure is a condition of employment.
- Documentation of required immunizations prior to the first day of employment is necessary.
- Native Preference in hiring, contracting, and training.
