Senior Demand Planner

Job Summary
Refine and develop forecasts by item for assigned categories while managing system exceptions to maximize fill-rates and freshness. Partner with DC Inventory Management, Merchandise Planning, and the Inventory Analyst team to align category forecasts with promotional planning and refine exceptions for new and discontinued items. Utilize Relex for advanced forecasting parameter management and work with the Business System Administrator to develop system enhancements that improve workflows and accuracy. Drive efficiency by translating demand into replenishment orders that plan labor and assets for Distribution Centers, Logistics, and Stores. Contribute to weekly meetings outlining trends and actively drive continuous improvement ideas for systems and processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of ten (5) years of experience in produce buying; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Ability to successfully manage concurrent projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to supervise personnel effectively
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
- Sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy and fax machine requiring continuous and repetitive arm, hand and eye movement
- Travel to/from meetings and to various locations
Desired Qualifications
- Relex or similar Inventory Management tool experience preferred
