Job Summary
Senior Delegate Sales Executive who will work with the Head of Delegate Sales to drive revenue for international conferences and exhibitions, focusing on attracting high-quality delegates from leading employers and organizations, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, meeting ambitious targets (e.g., minimum 100 dials and 8 qualified conversations daily with a revenue target of 600,000 per annum), and collaborating with event production, marketing, and operations to deliver a seamless delegate experience. Responsibilities include telesales/telemarketing to sell delegate spaces, assisting with targeted marketing campaigns, conducting market research to identify leads, managing CRM/database integrity, reporting to senior management, networking at industry events, and negotiating participation with potential delegates. Required experience includes 5+ years in telesales or conference sales, strong English communication, ability to meet targets, CRM familiarity, and the capability to sell team bookings at senior levels.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years+ proven sales experience in a telesales or conference sales role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with cutting-edge CRM platforms and database management
- Knowledge of the conference and exhibition industry is desirable
- Tenacious, articulate and confident in engaging at a C-suite/Director/Head of level
- The ability to sell team bookings with experience in having done this prior
