Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure relational database solutions supporting cloud-native and enterprise applications. Create logical and physical data models, schemas, indexes, and partitioning strategies while developing SQL, stored procedures, and views. Tune database performance across execution plans, storage, and capacity to meet demanding workloads, and diagnose issues like locking and connectivity. Plan migrations, upgrades, and platform modernization with strong validation and rollback practices. Implement backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and security controls, then automate provisioning and deployment using infrastructure as code and CI/CD. This role requires 5+ years of experience with PostgreSQL, AWS RDS/Aurora, and Python or Bash. Base salary is $130,000 - $150,000 annually. Travel is typically 5% or less.
