Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for migration, cleansing, transformation, and integration tasks while configuring stored procedures and queries to ensure optimal database performance. Develop robust ETL processes that integrate data from diverse sources and create automated scripts to streamline routine database tasks and reduce manual intervention. Partner with cross-functional teams to align data engineering efforts with broader business objectives, continuously identifying opportunities to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency in data processing. Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 1, and SOC 2 frameworks while leveraging deep knowledge of financial and rights data to address client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an database developer or analyst position
- Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly
- Proficiency in analyzing complex financial or IP data sets
- Hands-on experience with engineering principles, including designing and implementing scalable solutions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Demonstrates flexibility to work in required shifts
- Compliance with security and remote working policies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with SQL and/or Python for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience working in finance or IP-related industries, with an understanding of their unique challenges and requirements
- Familiarity with handling large-scale datasets and cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines to streamline database management and deployment
- Understanding of data warehousing architectures and business intelligence tools for advanced analytics
- Certifications in relevant database technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Oracle Certified Professional) are a bonus
