Job Summary
The Senior Database Administrator will manage RDBMS and NoSQL solutions, ensuring database performance, scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery. Responsibilities include implementing and managing replication chains, partitioning/sharding, and backups, as well as assisting development teams in database optimization and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and expert knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL. Proficiency in Linux and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP are also required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field of study
- Expert-level experience with at least one of MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with other RDBMS or NoSQL solutions
- Strong knowledge of SQL (DDL, DML, DCL)
- Experience with AWS or GCP cloud platforms
- Proficiency in Linux
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- English language proficiency at B2 level or higher
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in scripting, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Bash/Python)
- Team management experience
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix
