Job Summary
Design, install, configure, and maintain databases while ensuring data integrity and quality. Monitor database performance, implement improvements, and conduct regular tuning and optimization to resolve issues. Manage security measures by controlling access permissions and privileges, and develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans to ensure efficient restoration. Provide support for database-related issues, maintain up-to-date documentation, and work with application developers to implement new schemas and best practices. Develop and maintain monitoring and reporting tools to analyze performance data.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Data structures, Performance Tuning, Security, and backup/recovery
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator
- Experience with database management software (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server)
- Strong knowledge of database structure, theories, principles, and practices
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization (PTO)
- Proficient in database security, backup, and recovery processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Database Management (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator)
- Experience with Cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)
- Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, Java)
