Job Summary
Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments while monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing tuning strategies. Ensure high availability, reliability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes, and manage security, user access, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Install, configure, patch, and upgrade database platforms; support application deployments and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams. Perform capacity planning, identify system improvements, and create technical documentation. Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and production support activities. This fully on-site role involves working with multidisciplinary teams on mission-critical banking systems, offering exposure to modern technologies and long-term project growth.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise environments
- Strong experience administering relational database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms
- Hands-on experience with database backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and performance tuning
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database architecture principles
- Experience with database monitoring and automation tools
- Understanding of security best practices and access management
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate with both technical and business stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
- Relevant database certifications are considered an advantage
