Job Summary
Lead the design, deployment, and modularization of global cloud environments using Terraform across AWS and GCP, establishing enterprise-grade Infrastructure as Code best practices. Define and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and alerting frameworks to minimize MTTR while architecting robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines and zero-manual-intervention container orchestration with Fargate. Partner with Data Engineering teams to provision secure, scalable infrastructure for Airflow, dbt, streaming feeds, and AI integrations, while automating cloud access policies, network security, and cost optimization for resource-heavy workloads. This role serves as the cloud infrastructure anchor for data engineering and AI initiatives, reporting to the team led by Roberto. Based near Valencia with weekly hybrid presence, you will help scale the underlying infrastructure powering Flywire's high-stakes payment intelligence and data platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in SRE, DevOps or Cloud Platform Engineering
- proven experience building production cloud infrastructure at scale
- Master-level hands-on experience using Terraform
- multi-account/multi-project setups in AWS and GCP
- Strong experience setting up logging, monitoring and alerting frameworks
- GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Docker
- serverless container orchestration with Fargate
- Experience provisioning or maintaining infrastructure for data tooling
- basic proficiency in Python or Bash scripting
- Based within a short commutable distance of Valencia
- regular weekly hybrid presence in our office
