Senior Data Specialist (Oracle)

Job Summary
Design and develop complex PL/SQL procedures, packages, batch processes, and data-processing solutions while building integrations between Oracle Database and external systems using REST, SOAP, HTTP, XML, and JSON. Monitor and optimize Oracle database performance through query tuning and execution-plan analysis, then provide Level 3 support for production incidents including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. Contribute to technical architecture, database design, data flows, logging, error handling, and operational standards by analyzing requirements and translating them into effective solution designs. Support release planning, deployment activities, database migrations, and production stabilization while developing automation scripts using Bash, Python, and scheduling tools.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Oracle Database and advanced PL/SQL development
- Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning, execution plans, and database optimization techniques
- Experience with batch processing, parallel processing, scheduling, archiving, partitioning, or data retention
- Experience integrating databases with external systems and web services
- Good knowledge of Bash scripting and practical experience with Python
- Familiarity with XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, HTTP, and JWT authentication
- Experience with version control, release management, and production deployments
- Ability to contribute to architectural decisions and design scalable, maintainable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in production and performance-related scenarios
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- A strong sense of ownership, attention to quality, and ability to work effectively under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Docker, scikit-learn, or Siebel EIM is considered an advantage
