Job Summary
Senior Data Scientist, Trust & Safety at Chime. Partner with product, engineering, research, and design to translate insights into product development, lead experimentation with defined success metrics, and guide data-driven roadmap decisions. Responsible for monitoring performance metrics and KPIs, communicating findings to stakeholders, and driving actions that improve engagement and retention. Requires 5-7 years of data-focused experience, strong SQL, proficiency in R or Python, and hands-on experience with BI/visualization tools. FinTech domain experience is preferred. Hybrid work arrangement with four days in the office and Fridays remote in San Francisco, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years in data-focused roles (post-internship)
- Experience leading experimentation and statistical analysis
- Expertise in SQL
- Familiarity with R or Python
- Hands-on experience with BI/Visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI)
- Experience building metric frameworks to understand user behavior
- Ability to think holistically to solve business problems and navigate ambiguity
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
