Job Summary
Senior Data Scientist, Enterprise Data & Analytics at Success Academy Charter Schools to lead end-to-end machine learning and statistical modeling initiatives addressing educational and operational challenges (e.g., student performance trajectories, resource allocation, and efficiency). Responsibilities include designing, deploying, and sustaining models; auditing and optimizing production models; mentoring data analysts and engineers; architecting data extraction workflows and scalable queries; and partnering with data engineers and product owners to translate model outputs into actionable dashboards or software features. Must bring 5+ years of experience, expert Python and SQL, strong fundamentals in statistics and experimental design, and a readiness to guide junior team members. Preferential knowledge in R, cloud/MLOps tools (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, MLflow, Airflow), and education/non-profit sectors.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years professional experience in data science, predictive modeling, or advanced analytics
- Python proficiency with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn
- Advanced SQL skills
- Strong statistical modeling, regression, classification, and experimental design
- Mentorship mindset to guide junior team members
